Bio

Mr. Metcalf is the Business Valuation Member of MarksNelson LLC.  Since 1995, Mr. Metcalf has provided business valuation and litigation support services for clients.  He has testified as an expert witness in district courts regarding business valuation and related issues.

He has earned an “Accredited in Business Valuation,” “Certified in Financial Forensics,” and “Chartered Global Management Accountant” designations from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; the “Certified Valuation Analyst”, “Certified Business Appraiser” and “Master Analyst Financial Forensics” designations from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts; and the “Accredited Senior Appraiser” designation from the American Society of Appraisers.  He is a member of all these accrediting organizations.

Rob Metcalf obtained his CPA certificate from the State of Alaska in 1988.  He obtained a CPA certificate from the State of Kansas in 1995 and from the State of Missouri in 2001.  Mr. Metcalf has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a licensed CPA in Kansas and Missouri.

Since 1985, Rob Metcalf’s experience as a CPA has included employment with Laventhol & Horwath, Ernst & Young and a local Alaskan CPA firm.  He began his employment with MarksNelson LLC in 1995.  He became a member of the firm in 2001.  In addition to business valuation and litigation support services, his experience includes financial accounting, tax compliance, and tax planning.
